Popular American energy drink, Four Loko, has been officially banned in the state of Ohio. It has been banned in many other states too, because it was found that this energy drink contained high levels of alcohol and caffeine in it. Reports state that there is an official recall on this drink by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
This is one of the most popular energy drinks in the US, and it has a huge crowd of customers, mostly college students. Youngsters prefer this drink, compared to any other drink available in the market, and it is also cheaper. It was due to its popularity in America, that it has raised concerns over it’s effect on the people’s health.
Four Loko is manufactured by Phusion Projects, and reports show that in the 23.5 ounce can which is available in the market, it contains enough alcohol which is as equivalent to a 12 ounce beer can. Prior to Ohio, New York and Massachusetts have already banned this drink.
