Asia’s low-cost airline carrier AirAsia, has announced that it will be terminating the airline’s routes from Brunei to Kota Kinabalu early next year. The Malaysian airline is expected to put an end to this route on 3rd January, 2011, due to commercial reasons, as reported by The Brunei Times.

The cancelled Brunei-KK route came into existence in 2009 ,and focused on travel to East Malaysia.

In related news, AirAsia X, a subsidiary of AirAsia; has announced another European route which is expected to be operational from February 2011 onwards. The airline will operate four flights a week on the route from Kuala Lumpur and Paris.
