Asia Bizz: The Mercedes Benz CLS 63 AMG 2012 has been unveiled, and it is just not a car it’s a space age vehicle, and it speaks only about class and power. At the first look it will not impress the old timers, but the young professional generation will just fall in love with it. One can expect this car to be tweaked to the common CLS available in the market.
The 5.5L V8 which lies under the hood is nothing less than a space shuttle’s engine, for you can only derive power and adrenaline out of it. The car weighs around 4114 pounds and its hood pumps around 550 hp, which is massive, and it effortlessly pulls this car to an acceleration realm.
The V8 gallops this behemoth from 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds, figures clocked compare it to a sports car. So who are its rivals, well it does not line itself with BMW’s or Audi’s, rather the company says its main competitor is a car similar to it, the Porsche Panamera Turbo. The current model comes with a price tag of $100,000.
