Asia Bizz: Dentsu Inc, an advertising agency in Japan, on Tuesday 1st of February 2011 acquired a U.S digital creative agency called Firstborn Multimedia Corp. The main reason why Dentsu acquired Firstborn is to focus on the growth of its advertising market in the U.S.
Firstborn Multimedia Corp was founded in the year 1997 and the estimated gross profit was $12.4 million in 2010. Firstborn is situated in New York city and has around 65 employees. They have worked with big clients such as Pepsi, AT&T, and Wrigley. The Japanese ad agency works on digital strategy, video production, software development, and creative direction.
Dentsu aims at providing digital solutions to its clients and the company is really excited after acquiring Firstborn.
The founder of Firstborn, who is also the CEO, Michael Ferdman along with Chief Creative Officer Joon Yong Park and President Dan LaCivita will still remain in the company.
