Asia Bizz: It was sad news for Japanese auto racing, as IndyCar will not be holding races at the historic Twin Ring Motegi circuit from 2011. It will be almost after 14 years that the US auto racing organization will halt its event at the Honda racing facility. The circuit authorities too have stated that the ‘Japan 300 Indy’ will officially terminate from this year onwards.
IndyCar official have said that they are going ahead to build up a new schedule for the future Indy season, and they are concentrating more to maximize their US based audience. This year, the last race will be held on the 18th of September in Japan, which will be the 15th of the total 16 races of the season.
The officials have also said that they want to keep the last of the few races in the US itself and will try to increase the number of viewer-ship in the country. The only foreign based IndyCar race outside America is the Sao Paulo Indy 300 in Brazil.
