Asia Bizz: UberMedia’s famous mobile social apps UberTwitter, UberCurrent and twidroyd apps have reportedly been suspended by Twitter on Friday for violating their terms of services and privacy policies. Ubertwitter has now changed it’s name to UberSocial and is waiting for approval from Twitter.
The banned app “UberTwitter” is quite well known among BlackBerry users. Twitter stated that the app was in violation of certain programming rules, and that as soon as the violated programs are in conformity to Twitter’s guidelines, then the app will be reactivated.
What is also known of UberMedia is that it was called “TweetUp” right up to the time that Twitter had an issue with the use of the word “tweet” – which incidentally happens to be a trademarked term.
Twitter is a micro-blogging network that also provides an interface which is open to developers to make their own software that links to some kind of API.
