Asia Bizz: Tata Motors, India’s leading car manufacturer, has launched the Indica eV2 hatchback in the country, with an extremely low price, and experts claim it to be an Alto-beater. The eV2 is yet another try by Tata Motors in its Indica car line up, as the Vista version has been doing exceptionally well in the market the original Indica was lagging out.
The company has claimed that the car shall give an exceptional mileage of 25 kmpl and shall cost as low as INR 2.95 lakhs only. Tata has given another shot to the CRDI segment and it is trying to develop the first version of Indica known as the ‘more car per car‘ vehicle.
Indica eV2 is expected to have a number of features on it, including clutch to start, latest 1.4ltr diesel engine which pumps out 70 horses and certain works done on the interior. The company feels that the Maruti Suzuki Alto is the worthy competitor to this car, and it will face strict competition in the Indian market.
