Asia Bizz: Post Japan earthquake, the country is struggling to keeps itself up and its neighbour China has offered $4.6 million as emergency aid. On Tuesday a chartered plane took off from China which was carrying the first batch of relief materials towards Japan. As per reports, the first batch of relief aid consists of 2000 blankets, 200 emergency lights and 900 cotton tents.
A cargo plane of the China Eastern Airlines touched down in Tokyo at 08.00 pm on Monday, the plane was carrying the designated relief materials. China’s government has said it will provide 30 million Yuan worth humanitarian help to Japan, and this is the first time in many years China has proposed to offer help to its neighbour.
In Japan, the military has taken the responsibility to distribute the aid across the country.China has also sent a 15 member rescue team to the quake stricken Japan, and they shall commence search and rescue operations as soon as possible.
