Asia Bizz: American investor Warren E Buffett arrived at Bangalore on Tuesday as part of his first ever trip to India. The 80-year-old CEO of Berkshire Hathaway is on a visit to India for investment acquisitions and expansion in India, and said that it was better late than never that he make his trip to the Asian nation.

One of the world’s third richest men, Buffett, said that one of the primary aims of his first ever trip in India is to invest money in the Asian country in the near future. The “Oracle of Omaha” also added that he does not consider India as an ’emerging market’, but considers it a big market along with China, U.K., Brazil, and Germany.

Buffett’s company Berkshire Hathaway Inc., has already begun selling insurance to people in India earlier this month, and the company is currently partnering with India’s Bajaj Allianz General Insurance. On March 25, Buffett will meet the company’s Indian customers.

Buffett is quite well known for his philanthropic works, and is reported to have made a pledge to donate 99% of his wealth to charity through fellow billionaire pal Bill Gates’ Foundation.
