Asia Bizz: Asus launched the all new Eee Transformer and it is already being sold in Taiwan. It has not yet been officially released in the United States, but Asus has said they will ship the product in the month of April 2011.

The Asus Eee Transformer has still not received any release date by the company for its launch in the US. Asus wil announce the shipping date, along with the pricing and configuration soon. A rough idea of what sources say is that the Asus Eee Transformer will be priced between US dollar $499 and $699. North American markets should hear more info by March 31st.

The tablet will have a 10.1-inch screen and it can transfer itself from a tablet to a notebook and thats the selling point of the Asus Eee Transformer. It has a folding keyboard docking station, and comes with Android 3.0 “Honeycomb”. The sociality of the Asus Eee Transformer is that at most times it feels like laptop.

Good news for travellers is that the Asus Eee Transformer has a great battery backup of around 9.5 hours and can also run upto 16 hours without the dock. The weight is around 1.49 pounds.

The glass technology of the 10.1inch tablet is Corning Gorilla which will give it good protection from scratches and scrapes.

The Asus Eee Transformer has a 5 megapixel camera at the back and a 1.2 megapixel in the front. Some applications that come with the Asus Eee Transformer include a PC Sync, MyCloud, File Manager, Asus Launcher, MyLibrary and the MyNet.
