Asia Bizz: The much awaited Audi Q5 2.0 TDI SUV by the German automobile manufacturing company, has been launched at a much cheaper price in India. It was just a while ago that the company announced that the 2 litre TDI engine will be used in the Q5 Crossover SUV – much to the delight of Audi customers.
The attempt seems to have worked well, and this move by Audi has seen the cost of the Q5 TDI come down by a big margin. The Q5 now has a smaller turbo diesel engine, which was responsible for the cost of the car to come down.
The 4 cylinder engine of the Q5 has a capacity of 170 Bhp power and 350 nm of torque. The car has a seven speed S-tronic tranny. The technical features of the Q5 enable the car to make it fair enough in terms of its performance. Apart from the cost, the smaller-sized engine of the Q5 has also made the car more fuel efficient, compared to the 3 litre TDI engine. This 5-passenger beauty also comes with safety features like the dual front & rear side curtain airbags, as well as Antilock Braking System.
The Audi Q5 2.0 TDI will be available in India at price tag of Rs. 39,05,000 (ex-show room price) in Maharashtra, which will make it the most wanted car for the Audi lovers and give some pretty stiff competition to it’s rivals like the 2011 BMW X3 Crossover (which will soon be launched), the Volvo XC60 and also the BMW X5.
