Asia Bizz: Automobile manufacturer, Hyundai Motors, is on its way to plan the new version of their product Sonata. The makers are planning to launch the car in the later half of the year 2011. The new sedan will be called i45 and is supposed to boost the company’s brand image, and something to look out for is the hyped Hyundaic fluidic sculpture.

The car will be a new introduction to the i series of Hyundai. Arvind Saxena, the director of marketing and sales of Hyundai Motors, did not give any idea of the launch, but did not even deny the news.

Arvind added that they keep testing new products for the Indian market, but do not launch them immediately. The new i45 will be priced in the range of 19 to 10 lakhs and will have the new Hyundai’s fluidic sculpture.

The i45 will reportedly have a 2.5 litre petrol engine and will be competing in the market against its competitors like Honda Accord, Maruti Suzuki Kizashi, Nissan Teana, Volkswagen Passat and the most popular car in the segment Skoda Superb. The sales of Hyundai Sonata in the past few years stood the least in the sales chart. The new i45 will hopefully help to cope with the increasing competition in the sedan segment.
