India takes on Sri Lanka in the 2nd One day international on Friday, December 18 in Nagpur.
India is leading the 5 one day series, 1-0.
Earlier this match was scheduled to be played in Vizag but the shifted to Nagpur. The second ODI between Ind and Sl would be a day night affair.
Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir, team manager Mayank Parekh and video analyst were also tested as all the three had showed swine flu like symptoms but were later tested negative. Yuvraj Singh won’t be playing the 2nd ODI as he is dowm with Flu and is also yet to recover from the finger injury. Virendra Sehwag has recovered from his injury and will be playing the 2nd ODI.
Sri Lanka’s off spinner Muttiah Murlidharan and pacer Dilhara Fernando have been ruled out of the ongoing India Sri Lanka series 2009. Sri Lanka included two new off spinners Muthumudalige Pushpakumara and Suraj Randiv in the squad.
The Nagpur pitch will be the same where Sri Lanka posted huge total in the 1st T20 which they won by 29 runs. The toss will be very crucial as the dew factor will come into play in the second half of the match.
It is believed that the team winning the toss might elect to field first, in spite of both the teams relying heavily on their batting.
