Asia Bizz: Honda motors will reduce the production of some of its car models this summer as there is a huge shortage of spares and parts as a result of the earthquake that cause a lot of destruction in Japan. The famous Honda Civic will be one of the cars that will see lesser production this year.
The 2012 Honda Civic
Honda is pretty sure that the normal production of cars will not be possible until the end of this year as Japan will take time to get back from the disaster caused in the country.
The Honda Civic is also the 6th most popular car in the Unites States of America, and the 2012 model of the Civic will see a huge cut in production.
Other vehicles like the 2012 CR-V small SUV will see delay in its production, and instead the company will continue to make the 2011 edition of the SUV.
Both these automobiles are made in Japan and as a result the North American market will suffer shortage of cars. Other than Honda almost all major automaker’s have faced similar problems due to the devastation cause in Japan.
