Asia Bizz: Indian auto manufacturer Bajaj Auto has announced that the launch of their bike Duke 125 is expected by the month of December 2011. The 125 cc bike will be launched in India, as well as in Brazil, with the view of the growing demands of bikes in the Asian country.

Bajaj has developed the bike along with Austrian bike manufacturer, KTM.  In addition to the 125 CC bike, the Austrian-Indian collaboration is also reportedly planning a 200 cc bike.

The KTM Duke 125 motorcycle will have a 15 bhp four stroke engine and is currently manufactured exclusively for the export market at the Chakan Plant, near Pune in the state of Maharashtra. Baja Auto has said that they are also planning a dealership agreement with the South American country.

Along with the foreign expansions, Bajaj is also planning to target the semi-urban crowd by introducing a new Boxer which will have a 150 cc engine, which is expected to be launched by the month of September 2011. Meanwhile, the 200 cc Duke that is being planned is likely to have 20 bhp four stroke engine and DOHC with four valves. In order to give some competition to Honda, a powerful version of Pulsar is also on cards which will be priced at 1.2 lakh range.
