Asia Bizz: The first tablet developed in India has caught people’s attention in the international marketplace. The ‘Adam’, by the Bangalore-based company Notion Ink, will soon be available in the market for sale yet again.
The first lot that was released by the company in January 2011 had been sold out according to the company. The Adam was first introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show 2010 (CES).
Since its release, the tablet has been fodder to the critics and had also been an object of interest for the tech savvy people. The company was among the first ones to introduce Pixel Qi display in the Eden UI operated tablet.
However, the signing up process for the tablet will not be an easy procedure anymore. Getting registered for the purchase of the tablet does not guarantee you that you will own the tablet, as reports state that the company has reserved the rights to refuse a person of owning the tablet and to decide whom to sell the tablet.
So what’s the big deal surrounding India’s first ever tablet? The features of the Adam include an 8GB flash memory, 3.2 megapixel swivel camera, NVidia’s Tegra 250 Dual Core processor with 1GB RAM . The display features include a 10.1 Pixel Qi display, along with multi touch support, with a resolution of 1024 X 600. The tablet also has a micro sd card slot along with multiple ports.
