After a good start for Sri Lanka, India has done tremendously well to restrict the visitors for 239 in 44.2 overs.
Lankans were off to a brilliant start scoring over the 8 runs per over mark in the first 15 overs early on but the Indian spinners turned the game on. Jadeja in particular bowled a stunning spell and ended with outstanding figures of 4 for 32 while Harbhajan got the important wicket of Jayawardena in the middle overs. Ishant after a disastrous spell early on came back nicely to strike twice. Nehra bowled quite well right from the start and even he bagged a couple.
The top three Lankan batsmen scored 160 runs while the rest were bundled out under 70 runs. Sri Lanka will be quite disappointed with their middle order that lost their way after a superb start from the top order. Indian bowlers get the credit to bundle out Srilanka cheaply.
