Asia Bizz: Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota announced its entry in to the hatchback segment in India on 27th June. Toyoto Kirloskar Motor (TKM) launched the much awaited Etios Liva today, and the car has been specially designed for Indian customers.

The new Liva portrays class and youth with its unique, stylish and sporty design. The Indian customer will have the option of four variants of the car, J, G, V and VX.

The Etios Liva has an amazing cabin space, super comfort ambiance and is the best fuel efficient car in its segment. Talking about the interiors of the car, it has a sporty steering wheel, a premium audio system, instrument panel design to make it feel like a cockpit and USB and wireless remote.

The Toyota hatchback was launched by Hiroji Onishi the president of Toyoto Motors, Asia Pacific Marketing and sales. Onishi at the launch had said that the Etios project is a milestone project for the Indian market as well as the global market. The president also added that the Liva has been designed keeping in view the Indian tastes, preferences and choices. Vikram Kirloskar, the Vice chairman of the TKM has said that they have planned to produce the engines locally by the year 2012.

The Etios Liva has been priced between Rs. 3,99,000 and Rs. 5,99,000 for the Indian market.
