Asia Bizz: In some good news for the regular railway travelers in India, the Indian Railways will soon be introducing a new mobile ticketing application for mobile phones. The development of the application is still in progress and after its launch, the commuters will not have to stand in long ques to get their tickets reserved.
Railway customers have to just download the application and follow the instructions. The booked ticket will be sent to the user on their mobile phone via SMS, but the SMS cannot be forwarded.
The customer will also have to carry identification proof and will not have to carry a print out of the ticket, the SMS that has been sent on the mobile phone will do.
The new application will be a boon for regular commuters and will also be a feather in the cap of the Indian Railways for its modernization. This will make it easy for the commuters to book the tickets and will be more helpful for commuters living in the rural areas. This new M-ticket will also avoid the exploitation of the railway ticket agents, who block the tickets and sell them at higher prices to the passengers in need. The application will completely eradicate the presence of the travel agencies.
