Asia Bizz: Beetel Teletech will soon be launching its tablet PC in the month of August 2011. The seven-inch tablet will have a two-side camera and will be based on the Android 2.2 Operating system, with 3G connectivity.
The details of the upcoming tablet in the market were given by Rahul Mahajan, the head of the mobile business of Beetel Teletech. Mahajan said that the price of the tablet will not be disclosed at the moment. At the same time, he also assured that the prices will be very competitive and will also offer value for the money of the customers. Mahajan had disclosed the details of the tablet at the launch of the two new mobile handsets GD 218 and GD 310.
Though the company might be a little late in making an entry into the tablet market, it is confident enough to be at least among the top three companies by the year 2013. Apart from the tablet, the company is also planning to launch two advanced mobile devices every month. At present, the company sells 150,000 units of handsets every month. Mahajan also stated that they are planning to launch four more models which will have touch screen technology and will be based on Android OS.
