Asia Bizz: American multinational company Apple has won the ban on the sales of the Samsung’s Galaxy Tab. The tablet has been banned while the IFA electronics fair is due.
The tablet is also likely to be banned in Europe. For now Samsung has been banned from selling the Galaxy Tab Tablet computers in Germany until at least 9th of September 2011.
The recent ban in the tablet has left the company perplexed as the major IFA consumer electronics fair is due next week. A German court has said that it would give its judgment on the date that is two days after the IFA ends.
Apple has alleged that Samsung has copied the designs for the tablets. Samsung had requested the court to come to a conclusion before the IFA. The Judge had held that there were many similarities between Samsung’s Tabs and the Apple’s iPad, which run on the Android operating system of Google. Earlier, Apple had also won an injunction against the Galaxy S and S II of Samsung, which had prohibited their import to Europe through the Netherlands. However the decision had not fully supported Apple as the injunction was not forced through out Europe.
