Asia Bizz: Toyota has been reigning the Indian car market in fairly in a significant manner, and to make their presence even more evident, the Japanese company is coming up with diesel variants of the Liva and Etios models by the second week of September.
Details and specifications of the diesel variants have not yet been disclosed by the Toyota Kirloskar personnel. The marketing head for the Japanese car maker, Sandeep Singh, said in a statement that the companty is currently manufacturing around 6,000 units of Etios and Liva, and Toyota is currently working on nincreasiong those numbers to 6,800-7,000 units by October.
Toyota Motors has huge plans for India and witnessing its booming market, the company is expecting sell 60,000 units of both Liva and Etios in the coming year. The current plant is in need to be expanded significantly in order to accommodate the production facility of the transmission and engine parts for the Liva and Etios models.
