Asia Bizz: Mercury has finally launched a very competitive tablet in the Indian market for an extremely low price of Rs.9499. Reports state the tablet is directly in competition with the Reliance 3G tab, which is priced around Rs.13,000.

With the Indian market booming with tablets and other electronic toys, pricing is the vital factor of the sales structure. Mercury evidently has launched a device that is worthy enough to take on several tablet manufacturers present in the Indian market.

The mTab comes with a 7-inch WVGA touchscreen loaded with a G-Sensor rotation technology. Being a 7-inch tablet, this device has landed in the league of several competitors in the Indian electronic bazaar. It weighs a mere 400 grams only which is relevantly quite less compared to other devices.

One of the most interesting aspects of this device is the processor, its a triple core 1.2 Ghz chip that will make the mTab run very smooth. On the other hand, the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system adds an extra feather to the cap. The other features include 512MB RAM and 4GB internal memory which can be expanded to 32GB, with an external MicroSD slot, 3G and Wi-Fi are standard.
