Asia Bizz: Indian technology manufacturer, iBall has launched the Slide, a budget tablet on Wednesday, and has placed a price tag of only Rs. 13,995 only in the market.

The device runs on the Android 2.3 OS, has a 2MP camera in the front and 8GB of inbuilt memory – which can be expanded to 32GB. The Slide is powered by a 1Ghz ARM Cortex A-8 processor, BlueTooth and WiFi are standard.

It has been noticed by many, that the Indian market is being flooded with low-cost tablets made exclusively by Indian manufacturers; the level of competition has become stiff and is increasing by the day. The Slide has a 7-inch multi-touch display screen, making it big enough as its competitors in the market.

Tablets are becoming a common trend today and the number of the devices being introduced in the Indian market is phenomenal. Priced just below 14K, the Slide is expected to make an influence in the mind of its buyer. The company has chosen Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan to be the brand ambassador for the device.
