Asia Bizz: In some good news for all Android-phone lovers who were unable to afford one till now, there is some good news. Motorola Mobility India Pvt. Ltd has launched the Motorola FIRE XT and Motorola FIRE Android-based phones in the Indian market at a reasonable price.
The good part about the phones is the price tag. The FIRE XT is available for Rs. 13,890, while the FIRE is available for Rs. 9,990 and runs on the Android 2.3 operating system.
The features of the Motorola FIRE XT includes a 3.5-inch touch screen display, 5 megapixel rear-camera with auto-focus and flash, and a front-video for video chat. It runs on a 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS.
On the other hand, the Motorola FIRE has a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, along with a full QWERTY keypad with the same OS as the FIRE XT. The FIRE has a 3 megapixel rear-camera. Both the phones have the same memory that can be extended up to 32 GB with a micro SD card and they also come with 3G, Wi-Fi enabled and can support 3G hot spots for about 5 devices. The new Motorola phones also have an assisted GPS.
With the launch of the new phones, Motorola is all set to give rivals Samsung, HTC and Sony in the low-cost Android phone category.
