Asia Bizz: The Indian subsidiary of Skoda Auto has launched four new versions of its Fabia in the hatchback segment in the Indian market on 22nd September 2011. The new variants of the hatchbacks have been named as Ambition, Active, Active Plus and Ambition Plus.
The four variants will be available in both petrol and diesel versions. The company had released a statement which stated that the new variants that have been introduced are based on the customer feedback as well as market.
The statement added that the new versions are aimed at providing an enhanced value experience. The Fabia Active and the Fabia Ambition are the base variants, while the Active Plus and the Ambition Plus are the packaged versions.
The petrol and the diesel cars have the same engine units, which were also there in the previous variants. The price of the new variants of the car range from Rs. 4.39 lakhs to Rs. 6.08 lakhs. The new Skoda Fabia will be competing in the market with the already existing cars like Honda Jazz, Nissan Micra, Volkswagen Polo, Ford Figo and Marut Swift. The new Skoda Fabia also has several attractive features to attract the customers and the festive season might also give a boost to the sales of the car.
