Asia Bizz: Mobile giant RIM is all set to launch the a new phone in the Curve series in the Indian market. The spokesperson for the company had announced the launch of the BlackBerry Curve 9360 phone earlier this year.
The new Curve 9360 is the latest version of the older 8520. The new 9360 is much sleeker and lighter in weight and critics say that rhe new BlackBerry Curve has been well designed in terms of looks as well as features.
RIM’s latest smartphone is 2.9 mm less in thickness and 7 grams lighter. The changes might not be drastic, but has definitely given the phone a better look when compared to the older version. The features of the new Curve include 2.33 inch TFT LCD screen and has a 246 PPI pixel density, which is much better than the 163 PPI pixel density in 8520.
One drawback of this new Curve is that is is deprived of the multimedia shortcut keys which were in the earlier Curve 8520 version. But the plus points of this device is that is has the new OS of BlackBerry 7 and is powered by 800 MHz single core processor, which would make the phone faster in operating. The BlackBerry Curve 9360 also comes packed with 512 MB RAM, 4 GB of internal memory and the external memory that can be extended up to 32 GB.
