Asia Bizz: Indian mobile manufacturer, Micromax, has been working on it’s new handset – A85 Superfone – for quite a while now and if reports are to be believed, then the company is all set to launch the new Android based smartphone during the upcoming 2011 Diwali festival in the Indian market.
The company has not yet revealed many details about the handset, but some of the pictures of the handset have leaked out.
Sources from the company, on the condition of anonymity, have said that Micromax will be launching its first high-end phone A85 Superfone in the third week of October 2011. The source also added that the price of the handset is likely to be around Rs. 19,000.
Micromax is targeting the high-end smartphone segment with the new A85 Superphone, which will be featuring a gesture control based user interface. For the gesture-control feature, the phone has been equipped with a VGA front-facing camera. The other features of the A85 Superfone include a 5-mega pixel rear- facing camera that has an auto focus to capture high-quality pictures and HD videos. The handset will be powered with an OS of Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has a 8 GB internal memory and the external memory can be extended up to 32 GB.
