Asia Bizz: With the growing popularity of small cars in the Indian market, car manufacturing giant Renault will soon be launching its Modus in the small car segment. The company earlier this year had said that they would be adding five cars in their portfolio in the upcoming year and a half.

Already Renault has launched its Fluence and the Koleos in the market and now the only thing that the company needs to launch is a small car. Till now, no official images of the car have been released by the company. But few spy shots have been captured of the car in recent times. One of the pictures was shot near the Chennai Renault-Nissan plant. The company has two variants of the car globally according to their body types.

The Grand Modus and the Modus are the two variants out of which the Grand Modus will not be making its way in the Indian market. There are chances that the Modus will have the same petrol and diesel engine like that of the Nissan Micra. In the international market, the Modus became the first car to get a 5 star Euro NCAP rating (a program that judges the safety of the car). The Modus will be the third car that will be added to the company’s portfolio.
