Asia Bizz: Since the launch of the new small car Hyundai Eon, the popularity of the car is growing day by day in the Asian nation of India. Within just ten days of the launch of the Eon, 7,500 cars of the model have already been booked by the customers across India.

A very positive response has been received by the South Korean company in terms of the sales of the new model and also due to its low cost. The sales of the car have also triggered due to the strategic launch of the car during the festive season of Diwali.

Moreover, the long waiting period and uncertainty of the deliveries of the Maruti cars have also worked in favor of Hyundai. The company has set a sales target of 12,000 units per month after considering the fact that its competitor Maruti Alto had sold 21,198 units in the month of September.

However, this is the lowest number of Alto in a long time. Hyundai has said that they will not be launching a diesel version of Eon despite the fact that the diesel cars are in high demand in the Indian market. But there are possibilities that Hyundai might introduce its CNG or LPG variant in near future. Hyundai is also planning to export Eon in the upcoming months.
