Asia Bizz: Indian mobile manufacturer Micromax has recently launched its first high-end phone Superfone A85 for the Indian market on 8th November. The new Superfone A85 is now available for prospective customers on certain Indian shopping websites and has been priced at Rs. 18,990.

Some of the major features of the new smartphone include a 5 megapixel rear camera, along with a 0.3 secondary camera, 3.8-inch capacitive touchscreen and a resolution of 480 X 800 pixels. The new Micromax is powered by an Android 2.2 Froyo with a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 Dual core processor. In terms of connectivity, the Micromax A85 has 3G, GPRS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The new Superfone also has some attractive apps like Google Talk, Picassa, Ibibo Teenpatti, Gmail Apps and YouTube. Apart from these features, the smartphone also promises a long battery life with 3 hours of talktime and stand by time of up to 250 hours. The only drawback of the high-end phone is the outdated Android 2.2 Froyo, as there is a range of other smartphones in the market with some updated Android OS. Nevertheless, there are hopes that the A85 will soon get a Gingerbread update. As of now, it is considered as the cheapest 1GHZ processor smartphone in the market.
