Asia Bizz: Mobile phone manufacturing giant Nokia has launched its new Lumia series in the Indian market. The company has introduced Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710, Windows phones in the country and would be available in the market by mid December 2011.
The price of the new Lumia series have not been revealed, but it has been predicted that the Lumia 800 is likely to cost Rs. 32,000 and the Lumia Rs. 20,000 according to the international prices. The 800 version has been powered by the 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor , 512 MB RAM with an 8 megapixel camera.
The phone also features a clear black AMOLED display WVGA resolution of 800 X 480. The Lumia 800 also has a 16 GB internal storage memory with a unique curved glass display.
On the other hand, the Lumia 710 features a basic plastic construction, 5 megapixel camera and has the same processor like that of the 800 version. Nokia also has added its services to the Windows Phone Software that include Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive and Nokia Music. Apart from the phones the company will be redesigning 5000 outlets in India which is a first of its kind activity for the Indian market. Along with the launch of the Windows Phones, more than 750 India centric apps will be available in the market place.
