Asia Bizz: Motorola launched its Motorola Defy+ smartphone in the Indian market on November 14, 2011. The new Motorola Defy+ is an Android-based full touchscreen phone and has been priced at Rs. 19,000 for the Indian customers.

In a statement, Motorola said that the Defy+ offers protection with the help of its water-resistant, scratch-resistant and dust-proof design. The Defy + has been powered by a 1 GHZ processor with an operating system of Android Gingerbread 2.3 version.

Rajan Chawla, the Country head, sales and operation for mobile devices of Motorola, said that the Defy + has been designed with all the features of a smartphone that are needed for a demanding lifestyle. Chawla added that it has faster social networking tools, web browsing and great entertainment capabilities.

The features of the phone include a 5 megapixel camera 3.7-inch touchscreen, Adobe Flash 10 enabled browser, which will allow the users to watch movies and videos on the web browser of the phone. As it is based on the Android platform, the Defy + can also support Gtalk with the help of the mobile internet connection. In terms of the best price, the phone can be offered at Rs. 17,990.
