Asia Bizz: Luxury sport car giant Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A has launched its new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 for the Indian market on November 3, 2011. The price of the Italian sports car is Rs. 3.69 crore ex showroom, Delhi.

James Page, the Marketing manager of the South East Asia and Pacific, Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A said that the Indian market is a budding market for the sports cars, which is evident from the success of the Formula 1 race in the country.

Page added that the car was globally launched in the month of March 2011 and till now the company has received 1,500 orders worldwide. The marketing manager also added that the prospective customers in Indian would have to wait for 18 months to get the delivery of the car.

Page also revealed some of the aims of the company, which included to sell at least 20 cars of other models of Lamborghini and also to double the sales by the year 2012. Despite low volume of sales of the premium sports car in the country, the sales are slowly picking up. The company is also planning to start training programmes on the F 1 track. Earlier, the Indian customers were taken to Europe, but now it can be done here.
