Asia Bizz: Mobile phone manufacturer Research In Motion launched three new handsets in the Indian market on November 25, 2011. All the new handsets are based on the BlackBerry 7 Operating System.
RIM has seven handsets in the Indian market that are based on it latest operating system. The company has claimed that the new OS offers a faster performance with enhanced browsing, along with a rich multimedia experience, when compared to the earlier OS version.
Krishnadeep Baruah, the Director of Marketing for India, of Research In Motion , said that they are pleased with the response that the new BlackBerry 7 operating system from the customers in India. The new BlackBerry Curve and BlackBerry Bold are the smartphones that offer compact designs and faster performance.
Baruah added that with the help of the new handsets, the users will also experience a rich multimedia experience along with near field communication support also known as the NFC. The handsets would be officially made available in the Indian market around the first week of December 2011.
The BlackBerry Bold 9790 features include a QWERTY keypad along with a touch screen display, 5 megapixel camera and has been priced at Rs. 27,490. The other two handsets are BlackBerry Curve 9350 and Curve 9380 that are both priced at Rs. 20,990.
