Asia Bizz: After launching the new XT615 smartphone in Taiwan, Motorola is all set to launch it in the Indian market . The new Motorola phone which comes with the Android 2.3 Operating system is expected to be priced at Rs. 17,500 in the Indian market.
The features of the new XT615 include 4-inch screen and an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a front facing camera for video calling. The other connectivity features of the phone include Bluetooth, GPS, 3G and the good part is it has the latest Android 2.3 version. But the downside is that it has a smaller processor with 800 MHz. However, the company says that the combination has been chosen so that the price of the smartphone could be affordable and without compromising on the smartphone features.
The phone looks good with a thickness of 9.8 mm. Ritchie Ma, the general manager of Motorola Mobility Taiwan, said that Motorola has always been about connecting style with technology. Along with the basic smartphone features, the new XT615 has a new Moto Switch User interface, which keeps all the important information about the user in the front and centre. The interface first records what apps are regularly being used or the people regularly contacted by the user and then records it as vital information.
