Asia Bizz: Mobile phone giant Nokia has launched its Asha series phones in the Indian market on December 1, 2011. The new Asha series has now been officially launched after it was introduced last month and has been priced at Rs.4,759.

Along with the Asha 200, the company has also launched Asha 300 and Asha X2-02. All the three handsets are based on the Symbian S40 and comes with a 3 months subscription of the Music Unlimited service.

The music service will allow users to download songs from Nokia’s Music Store. The Asha 200 has a 2.4-inch display and resembles with the popular Nokia C3. It has a Qwerty keypad, 2 mega pixel camera micro SD card support and social network integration.

The Asha 200 is a Dual SIM phone and the company claims that the battery life is so long that it has 52 hours of music playback on a single charge. It also has an Easy Swap functionality with the help of which users can switch SIM cards without off the phone. At present, the Asha 200 and the 300 are launched only in India and will be available in the stores by the mid of December, 2011. The Asha 200 and 300 are priced at Rs. 4,759 and Rs. 7,409 respectively and the Nokia Asha X2-02 would cost around Rs. 4,163.
