Asia Bizz: British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph Motorcycles is now all set to launch its range of motorcycles for the Indian market. The company will be showing off its range to be introduced in India at the Auto Expo 2012.

The British manufacturer announced its line up of motorcycles for the Indian market on December 2, 2011. The company will be launching seven of its prominent bikes from four of its families that include, super sports, adventure/ Roadster/Touring, Modern Classic and Cruisers.

With regards to the selection of the models for the Indian market, Ashish Joshi, the managing director of Triumph Motorcycles, said that they deliberated over the range of motorcycles to bring in the country and decided to get these models to showcase the Triumph range.

Joshi added that they have bikes to cater different needs like the 675 cc Super Sport bike, the Daytona 675 to 2300 cc Rocket III. The managing director also said that the Indian market has a lot of potential for the sales of their bikes and that they are confident that all their seven models within their individual category would become popular in the Indian market in a very short time. Talking about their strategy, Joshi said that for the Indian market they will be phased out and that they would first set up an assembly facility so that the customers are saved of duty charges.
