Mobile manufacturer HTC has officially launched its smartphone Rhyme for the Indian market on December 2, 2011. An official statement from the company confirmed the launch and has been priced at Rs. 27,499.

The company has claimed that the new Rhyme is a new kind of phone and has been specially designed for those, who are looking for advanced features in a smartphone and for also those who want their handsets to be sleek.

The new Rhyme has a 3.7 inch WVGA display, 5 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash, front VGA camera for video calling, 3.5 mm hands free socket, expandable memory up to 32 GB through micro SD card and stereo FM with RDS. The connectivity features of the smartphone include 3G, Wi-Fi, EDGE/GPRS, Bluetooth 3.0, EDR, GPS with A-GPS support and Google Maps.

One of the unique features of the Rhyme includes a HTC Rhyme Charm in which the user of the phone would be intimated of an incoming call or an SMS when the handset is buried deep in the bag and small light attached to a cord will dangle outside the bag. With the help of the dangler, the user can easily pull out the phone. The Rhyme also comes with a pair of earphones, which the company claims as tangle free.
