Asia Bizz: For those who were eagerly waiting to get their hands on the new Nokia Lumia 800, it is just within reach now. The Finnish company has officially announced that it has started accepting pre-orders of the Lumia 800 handset in India on December 5, 2011.
This is the first offering by the partnership between Nokia and the American software giant Microsoft and it will run on the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango Operating system. For those who are interested in booking the handset, they have to fill up a form and deposit Rs. 2000, which would be deducted from the final amount of the phone.
Nokia is yet to announce the official pricing of the handset in India. When asked the retailers of the store, they said that the Lumia can be priced around Rs. 30,000.
The new Lumia is expected to hit the stores somewhere around December 15 to December 17, 2011. Moreover, there is no idea about the availability of the Lumia 710, but one thing is sure that it is not expected to be launched along with Lumia 800. The minimum booking amount can vary from different stores in India. The Lumia 800 will be powered by a 1.4 GHz processor and 512 MB RAM. The other features include an 8 mega pixel camera with Dual LED flash and a 3.7 inch screen.
