Asia Bizz: Mobile phone manufacturing giant Nokia and Bharath University have come together toe train students to adopt a practical approach towards mobile technology. The vice chancellor of Bharath University, Dr. KP Thooyamani,  signed a MOU with Nokia India.

The university will now introduce courses that will be based on the current industry standards as a part of the curriculum. Aspiring students will get to grab knowledge from some of the experts from Nokia.

The vice chancellor stated that the university is conducting a series of initiatives to produce students who can be immediately absorbed by the corporate. Thooyamani also mentioned about the fact that the companies these days are cutting down investment in training.

The vice chancellor also added that they have recognized certain technologies such as cloud devices and mobile computing which are associated with leading MNCs like IBM, Nokia and other companies. The students will be trained under the new modules and they will also have an option to select their field of interest. After the completion of the course, the students will be given a certificate from Nokia and will become Nokia Developer Launchpad Members. This will also give them access to the technologies in Nokia.
