Asia Bizz: The subscribers of the popular Indian telecom company Bharti Airtel have been facing network problems in the western Maharashtra. Technical problems came up due to some problems in the systems of the service providers on December 27, 2011.
A spokesperson from Airtel said that a technical outage has affected the network in the western region, which resulted in the disruption of the services. The spokesperson assured that the technical team is working towards rectifying the problem at the earliest and added that they deeply regret the inconvenience caused to the subscribers.
The services of the subscribers from the adjoining areas like Pune were also affected. All the subscribers who are affected by the problems are sharing their grievances on the social networking site Twitter.
People familiar with the problem have said that it has adversely affected the network and has also affected the BlackBerry and data services provides by the company. Telecom Regulatory Authority in India said that the largest private operator Bharti Airtel has a user base of 173.73 million by the end of the month of October, 2011. Airtel offers mobile voice and data services, fixed line, High speed broadband and national as well as international long distance services. Bharti Airtel is also one of the leading global telecommunications company.
