Asia Bizz: In some good news for all those who missed an opportunity to book the Aakash tab, they can now look forward to the latest version of the device. Datawind is now all set to release the latest version known as the UbiSlate 7+ which is expected to be priced at Rs.2999.
The earlier version which went on sale was the regular student version, but this one will be available for everyone, everywhere. It is also expected that the upgraded version of the tablet will be available in the Indian market by the last week of the January 2012.

The UbiSlate 7+ is a 7 inch display with 800 X 480 pixel resolution, two USB ports, 256 MB RAM and has a processor of Connexant with Graphics accelerator along with HD video processor. The device will run on the Android 2.2 and will support various video and audio files. The UbiSlate 7+ will have a separate application for running the YouTube videos and will also have safety and other standard compliance. The device will also support document rendering and can support various document formats.
