Asia Bizz: India has the most lucrative market for the auto makers and the 11th edition of the Auto Expo began on January 6, 2011 in New Delhi, India. Every year, more than 15 million vehicles are sold in the Indian market which makes it essential for every auto maker to make their presence prominent at the event.
The five day event will be held at the Pragati Maidan and will be showcasing the first of several auto makers. The event will also be promising to showcase several segments among the most popular auto brand in the Indian market.
The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) will be hosting the event which is held every two years. Abdul Majeed, the partner for the automotive practice said that in the long run the auto companies are very bullish about the Indian market.
Majeed added that this is the reason the auto companies will be showcasing all their products to make the Indian customers familiar with them. Abdul even said that there may not be an immediate boost in the sales but the companies will want the customers to know about their product offerings.
