Asia Bizz: The much awaited Samsung Galaxy Nexus Google phone, which is yet to enter the Indian market, may take some time to debut in the Asian country. In the month of December 2011, it was reported that the new Galaxy Nexus will be launched in January 2012 and the reason stated by the company was the presence of launches in December.
It was decided that the new phone by Samsung will be launched in January 2012. In a Twitter reply post from Samsung India, the company said: “Nexus is expected to be launched in March but we do not have the exact dates. Will update you once we get that information.”
The handset is not expected to launch this month and at least not before March. Even the official registration page of the handset is not yet updated and the status says ‘Coming Soon’.
Some of the features of the phone include 1.2 GHz Dual core processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and 1.3 front facing camera, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0, 16 GB internal memory, 1 GB RAM, 3.5 mm audio jack, EDGE and GPRS.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is still the only handset that is launched with the Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
