Asia Bizz: Luxury car maker and premiere engine manufacturer Rolls Royce has stated that it will deliver 60 water jets for a new fleet of 20 Fast Patrol Vessels of the Indian Coast Guard this year. The move has been taken by the company to make its presence more prominent in the Indian market.
Anil Shrikhande, the president of Rolls Royce India, said that India is a key market for Rolls Royce and that they will continue to develop the manufacturing and engineering services presence in the country through the mutually beneficial collaborations with the companies. Shrikhande added that they would also continue to support the Indian Armed Forces and will deliver 60 Rolls Royce water jets for the Indian Coast Guard.
The company has recently announced a construction facility in Bangalore for manufacturing Aerospace components for the engines of the Trent family. Shrikhande added that they are proud to be a partner in progress and look forward to continue to deliver excellence for their customers in India.
In the year 2011, Rolls Royce posted a profit of 1.16 billion pounds, which has gone up by 21 percent compared to the previous year. The revenues of the company has increased by five percent to 11.3 pounds in 2012.
