Asia Bizz: The new Galaxy Tab 680 has been introduced by Samsung in the Indian market. The tablet has been priced at Rs 34,900, while the online retailer Flipkart.com has priced it at Rs 33,571.
This is the fourth tablet to be launched by Samsung in the country with Google’s Android 3.2 Honeycomb Operating System. The Galaxy 7.7 inch features dual core processor along with a large 7.7 inch Super AMOLED display.
In India, this is the only device available with the Super AMOLED display next to the Galaxy Note. The best part about the tablet PC is it can support popular codecs like Xvid, DivX, H.264 and MP4.
The South Korean company has also claimed that the tablet can play full 1080p HD video. The Galaxy 680 is powered by 1.4 GHz Samsung Exynos 4210 mobile processor along with Mali MP 400 graphics and is expected to give good support for gaming as well as entertainment activities.
At present, the company has used the Android 3.2 Honeycomb, but has promised to provide the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the upcoming months. The device offers 16 GB internal storage and can be extended up to 32 GB micro SD card. The other features include 3 megapixel camera and a 2 megapixel rear camera.
