Asia Bizz: Indian handset manufacturing giant Micromax is all set to launch its A78 dual SIM Android smartphone in the Indian market. The brand has been maintaining a low profile in the market for a while now, but is all set to make a return.

The new A78 smartphone is expected to be launched in the month of March this year and will be priced at Rs 8,000. The A78 has a 3.5 inch capacitive display, touch and QWERTY keypad and runs on Android 2.3.

The officials from the company, on the condition of anonymity, said that the new Micromax A78 will run on a 650 MHz processor and will be powered by a 1300 mAh battery. The other features of the battery include 3 megapixel rear camera and 0.3 MP front camera for video conferencing.

The connectivity features of the smartphone includes Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi. The smartphone also comes with an expandable memory slot of up to 32 GB. The company said that the new Micromax phone will have gravity as well as light sensors. The new handset by the Indian handset maker has a fresh look and is surely going to attract the business as well as young users.
