Asia Bizz: Japanese mobile operator NTT Docomo stated it will be launching its voice agent application known as the Shabette Concier on February 28, 2012. The new application enables customers to obtain a wide range of information and perform different tasks by speaking in to their DOCOMO smartphones.

The application is due to launch on March 1, 2012 for selected DOCOMO smartphones that run on Android 2.2 or higher versions. The best part is that the app will be available for free, but packet communication charges may apply when downloading or using the app.

The new app is a voice activated user interface which enables customers to intuitively and directly operate the services as well as smartphone features with the help of voice commands. The app responds to a verbal question and then analyzes the inquiry and provides an answer for using the information.

The processing of the voice is handled in the cloud through the mobile network and not in the smartphone. It assures speed and accuracy regardless of the specifications of the app. The application provides users with high level information as well as communication through the mobile network cloud computing. The new app has been launched so as to strengthen its presence as an integrated services company.
