Asia Bizz: The much awaited Apple iPad – unofficially known as the iPad 3 – has finally been unveiled at an event at San Francisco, USA on March 7, 2012. The latest 2012 iPad has the ability to connect to 4G networks and has an improved camera and high-definition retina display.
With the latest tablet PC, the American company has stepped further into the tablet market with the help of new exciting features. The new iPad’s noteworthy features include a high definition retina display and a new 5 megapixel camera known as the ‘iSight’ which is supported by the iCloud system.
The company has also built the pressure on the other leading tablets in the market by introducing a cheaper iPad 2 which is priced at $399. Apple has also introduced an enhanced set-top box Apple TV.
Tim Cook, the executive chief of Apple, said at the launch event, “”The iPad is about post-portable computing. And it’s outstripping the wildest of predictions. We think the iPad is the poster child of the post-PC world. The momentum behind iPad has been incredible and has surprised virtually everyone. Across the year you’re going to see a lot more of this innovation – we are just getting started.”
The high-definition retina display of the new iPad comes with more pixels than any HD TV. But that;s not all, it also boasts of higher quality photo and video recording, thanks to a higher resolution camera and an HD video recorder. The iPad will also run on Apple-built A5X processing chip and connect to 4G networks.
Apple unveiled two models of the iPad – iPad WiFi and iPad WiFi with 4G, the former is priced between $499 to $699 and the latter will come at a price tag between $629 to $829.
The 4G Apple iPad will release on March 16, 2012 in USA.
